The Cultural Competency online webinar is designed to create dialogue, introduce “foundational” concepts for how one person can make a positive difference. We address prejudice, implicit and explicit bias; CLAS, poverty, privilege, the impact of stereotypes, microaggressions, and the role of expectation. We will cover different topics using a variety of media film clips and resources, large and small group conversations, and home and pre-work assignments. We look forward to you joining us on this ongoing journey to becoming culturally competent.

Short at home reflection activities
Topics addressed: implicit /explicit bias, microagressions, CLAS, gender, discrimination, racial and ethnic health/education/community disparities, poverty, privilege, and stereotypes.Cultural and Linguistic Competence (CLAS) must be part of any system of care, behavioral health provider, educational institution, or organization.
